Playa de las Américas (often just called "Las Américas") is the tourism and leisure epicentre of southern Tenerife: the Golden Mile, wide beaches, and the island's biggest concentration of restaurants, shops and nightlife.
It's the area with the highest holiday-rental demand in the whole south, which makes it especially interesting for buyers focused on rental yield as well as personal use.
Studios and 1-bedroom apartments in large complexes with a pool are the most common type, many already holding a tourist-rental licence, alongside the occasional garage or commercial unit in the busier areas.
